Blue Essential Oil!

Boneflower, yarrow, thousand-leaf herb, mouse-tail
Which medicinal plant could it be?
You surely know it too, as it can be found in meadows, fields, pastures and grasslands – in short, everywhere.

Yes, these are all folk names of YARROW (Achillea millefolium). It was already used in ancient times to stop bleeding and reduce fever, and during wars to heal soldiers’ wounds.

In aromatherapy, considering its excellent antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent, haemostatic and cell-regenerating effects, it can be used
– for all kinds of skin inflammations,
– on slow-healing wounds,
– for gynaecological problems,
– to soothe the stomach,
– to reduce digestive inflammations,
– to relax the nerves,
– to lower blood pressure,
– to promote restful sleep.

Its essential oil is coloured blue by the chamazulene it contains.
